World Circular Economy Forum 2019 (WCEF)

The forum will bring together 2,000 key circular economy thinkers and doers from around the world. This year the forum will have a strong emphasis on scaling up the transition to a circular economy.

The World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF) is a global initiative of Finland and the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra. The WCEF brings together more than 2,000 business leaders, policymakers and experts to present the world’s best circular economy solutions. The forum examines how businesses can seize new opportunities, gain a competitive advantage through circular economy solutions and how the circular economy contributes to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We believe that truly competitive solutions are born when business and environment go hand in hand.

The first WCEF was organised in Helsinki, Finland in June 2017 with 1,600 participants from nearly 100 countries. In 2018, the concept was brought to Yokohama, Japan where more than 1,100 circular economy experts discussed what we need to do to create a true circular economy by 2050. This year, the forum will bring together around 2,000 key circular economy thinkers and doers from around the world to Helsinki, Finland.

Sitra järjestää World Circular Economy Forum 2019 -tapahtuman jo kolmatta kertaa ja paikalle odotetaan 2.000 kiertotalouden huippuasiantuntijaa.
