“The role of good governance on addressing physical and socio-economic effects of Natural Disasters during and after their occurrence”

Masterclass event organized by the SDG Center on “The role of good governance on addressing physical and socio-economic effects of Natural Disasters during and after their occurrence”

The theme of this masterclass event organized by the SDG Center on Governance and Public Law of the European Public Law Organization and the European Law and Governance School will be “The role of good governance on addressing physical and socio-economic effects of Natural Disasters during and after their occurrence”, a theme that is considered to be very timely as Greece is again nearing a period of high risk of forest fires, but also has been particularly hit by heavy rainfall and flood events related to climate change in the region. The SDG Center on Governance and Public Law via this event intends to  focus on the overall aspects of better preparation for mitigating the effects of natural disasters but also the effective management of the aftermath, as well as dealing with the remediation activities in a way that protects human lives and the environment, with the optimal socio-economic outcome.
