Sustainable Fashion & Textile Industry

What is our perception about clothing? Are we aware about how our clothes are made? In what kind of circumstances are they produced? What we wear and how often do we buy a new dress?

We put these kind of questions for ourselves in Transylvania Textile & Fashion Cluster.

In 2018 it is really important to change our fashion industry, consumption patterns, and the way we are thinking about clothing. Therefore we organize an event within the European Sustainable Development Week (ESDW)  with the title ‘Sustainable Fashion & Textile’.

We want to promote the concept of Sustainable Development & Circular Economy with our activities, because we want to build our region, not to destroy it. The objective is to create a liveable area and well-being in the Central Region (Transylvania) according to the Sustainable Development Goals. We would like to live in a liveable society, but do we acknowledge how it is possible? Are we aware of the fact that if we want to develop a Sustainable Economy we cannot disregard the social aspects and the environmental issues?

The Circular Economy model offers a possible and viable way for this. Circular Economy is an economic model where is no waste. In order to make a value from the waste in our “civilized” world, we need to collaborate with various economic actors ( businesses, public institutions, offices, educational institutes, organizations). The implementation is not easy, but the role of regional clusters is important here, because the clusters make connection between them to develop a specific area.

We invite professors, experts and educators to the event. Collaborating across schools and the Cluster we can build a strong connection between the education and economy sector. Today’s system has a tendency where these sectors work individually and this process does not have enough good results. We are promoting  the idea of sustainable fashion in schools, because we can not start enough time to aware young generation, how they should think about fashion and textile industry.

In our vision, it is significant to prepare children how they can reduce their textile waste, how they can dress ethically, environmentally consciously.

Modă și industrie textilă durabilă

Care este percepția noastră despre îmbrăcăminte? Suntem conștienți de modul în care se produc hainele noastre? În ce condiții sunt fabricate? Ce purtăm și cât de des cumpărăm o haină nouă?

În 2018, este foarte important să aducem schimbări în industria modei, modelele de consum și modul în care ne gândim la îmbrăcăminte. Prin urmare, organizăm un eveniment în cadrul  Săptămânii europeane a dezvoltării durabile (ESDW), cu titlul "Modă și industrie textilă durabilă".

Vrem să promovăm conceptul de Dezvoltare durabilă și Economie Circulară prin activitățile organizate de noi, din dorința de a dezvolta regiunea noastră fără să o distrugem.

Obiectivul este de a crea o zonă viabilă și bunăstare în Regiunea Centru în conformitate cu Obiectivele de Dezvoltare Durabilă. Ne-ar plăcea să trăim într-o societate viabilă, dar cum este posibil?

Modelul de economie circulară oferă soluții pentru realizarea acestui obiectiv pentru că este un model economic în care nu există deșeuri. Pentru a valorifica deșeurile în lumea noastră "civilizată", trebuie să colaborăm cu diferiți actori: întreprinderi, instituții publice, instituții de învățământ, instituții de cercetare, organizații catalizator, cea ce reprezintă de fapt clusterul. Trebuie să avem o bună colaborare la nivelul clusterului și la nivelul rețelei de clustere textile din România, făcând posibilă implementarea modelului.

Invităm la acest eveniment producători,experți și profesori.

Prin relația de colaborare între instituțiile de educație  și  clustere, putem construi o legătură puternică între sectorul educației și cel economic.

Sistemul de astăzi are o tendință în care aceste sectoare lucrează individual și rezultate sunt nesatisfăcătoare.

Suntem conștienți de faptul că, dacă vrem să dezvoltăm o economie durabilă, nu putem ignora aspectele sociale și problemele de mediu.

Tocmai de accea dorim să promovăm ideea de modă durabilă în școli, pentru conștientizarea generației tinere despre importanța acesteia.
