Love Nature – grow sustainable

With the assistance of the Belasitsa natural park, students will share their best practices for sustainable development under the motto “I love Nature. Grow sustainable”.

The Belasitsa Natural Park is a little-known land of paradise, huddled in the south-westernmost part of Bulgaria on the borders with Greece and Macedonia.For a long time Belasitsa was a forbidden mountain, which even local people were not allowed to visit, fenced with wire, strictly guarded and protected. Today, having thrown off the burden of the old regime, Belasitsa attracts with its uniqueness – this is the only mountain in Bulgaria which is situated on the territory of three countries. Belasitsa stands out with its preserved nature and the villages, situated at its foothold, keep rich traditions. In this environment live and work students led by their love towards nature and looking for a ways to live in a harmony with its laws. In connection with the initiative European sustainable development week we decided to unite our efforts and to share our thoughts experience. With the assistance of the Belasitsa natural park, students will share their best practices for sustainable development under the motto “I love Nature. Grow sustainable”. In the event will take part students from Association “Young mountaineer” Petrich, “Green patrols” club by United children’s Complex Petrich and students from primary school „Hristo Botev”“ village Belasitsa.A lecture on sustainable development in Professional School of Economics and Tourism “Asen Zlatarov” will be conducted with students learning economic subjects. The lecture will be held by Olga Ivanova – professor of ICN Business School France.Another initiative will take the form of an experiment and will be shared by students during the Sustainable Development Week. It concerns the carbon footprint and how each of us can live in a more responsible and sustainable manner in order to protect the resources of the Earth. In the experiment will be involved students from Association “Young mountaineer” Petrich and students from the High school “Peyo Yavorov” Petrich. For two weeks the participants will seek ways to reduce their own carbon footprint. At the end of the experiment the results will be analyzed and presented to other students and teachers.



Природен парк „Беласица” е малко познато райско кътче, скътано в най-югозападната част на България, на границата с Р Гърция и Р Македония. Дълго време Беласица е била недостъпна планина, без възможност за посещение, оградена с бодлива тел и строго охранявана. Днес, отхвърлила бремето на стария режим, Беласица привлича със своята уникалност – това е единствената планина в България разположена на територията на три държави. Беласица се отличава и със запазената си природа, а населените места разположени в подножието съхраняват богати традиции. В тази среда живеят и работят ученици, водени от любов към природата и търсещи начини да живеят в хармония с нейните закони. Във връзка с инициативата Европейска седмица на устойчивото развитие решихме да обединим усилията си и да споделим натрупания до момента опит. Със съдействието на Дирекцията на Природен парк „Беласица“ учениците ще споделят тяхните добри практики за устойчиво развитие под мотото „Аз обичам природата. Раста устойчиво.“ В събитието ще вземат участие ученици от Сдружение „Млад планинар“ гр. Петрич, клуб „Зелени патрули“ от Обединен детски комплекс, гр.Петрич, ученици от Основно училище „Христо Ботев“ с.Беласица.Лекция за устойчиво развитие в Професионална гимназия по икономика и туризъм „Асен Златаров“ ще се проведе с ученици изучаващи икономически предмети. Лекцията ще се води от професор Олга Иванова - преподавател от ICN Business School Бизнес училище Франция.Още една инициатива, или по-скоро експеримент ще бъде споделена от ученици по време на Седмицата на устойчивото развитие. Става въпрос за въглеродния отпечатък и как всеки от нас може да живее по-отговорно и устойчиво за да можем заедно да опазим ресурсите на Земята. В експеримента ще се включат ученици от Сдружение „Млад планинар“ гр. Петрич и ученици от Гимназия „Пейо Яворов“ гр. Петрич. В продължение на две седмици участниците ще търсят начини да намалят своя въглероден отпечатъкВ края на експеримента ще се направи анализ на получените резултати и те ще бъдат представени пред други ученици и учители.
