The location of Pärnu offered a good opportunity for fishing in the Middle Ages. Due to the fasting standards of the church, the fish had an important place in the diet of the inhabitants of Pärnu. One of the most appreciated fish in the local waters was ide. Ide fishing in the estuary and in the river Reiu was a priority for the Livonian Order’s Pärnu Command. Baltic herring was frequent in the diet of local inhabitants. Let’s continue with fish eating traditions in Pärnu.

Ürituse peamine eesmärk on kutsuda teid meie juurde nautima maitseelamusi kalast. Hea vein, maitsvad kalaroad, snäkid, mõnus seltskond ja hea muusika.
