BioCampus Mediterrania. Construction of a pond by students near the school garden, surrounded by native Mediterranean flora befitting a butterfly garden

Involving students in the creation of a natural ecosystem, by building a pond near the school garden surrounded by Mediterranean flora. The green space will be utilized as an outdoor classroom.

Construction of a pond by students near the school garden, irrigated with rainwater diverted from downpipes to two 310 litre storage butts, surrounded by native Mediterranean flora befitting a butterfly garden, intended to attract beneficial pollinators, thus creating an ecosystem and a healthy natural green space to be utilized as an outdoor classroom. The primary aim is to sensitize the educational community to sustainable development and to advance towards a greener school.
