Growing an Organic Garden to promote Sustainable Development

In our activity we will plant spring vegetables such as peppers, melons and tomatoes to promote Sustainable Development.

We are a group of 13 students in grade 9th. We follow a Program to Improve Learning and Performance (PMAR in Spanish, Programa de Mejora del Aprendizaje y del Rendimiento). This is part of the actions that Spain is taking in order to reduce the rates of early school leaving, according to the Europe 2020 targets. Our education program is officially altered from what would normally be. For example, we study Fields of Knowledge instead of subjects. Is more or less the same but one field of knowledge involve two or more subjects. We maintain an Organic Garden in our High School and you can see the evolution of our garden from September to June in our IES Clara Campoamor Garden’s blog: http://huertocampoamor.blogspot.com.es/Our Organic Garden supports the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals. In our activity we will plant spring vegetables such as peppers, melons and tomatoes to promote Sustainable Development.
